I can't believe this coupon has reset but I was able to print it myself so it's true.  GO HERE to print another $1 off Renuzit and get the adjustables for FREE at Walmart. I found this under zip code 98052. I was able to print 10 of these last time from my 5 computers/iphones/ipad so now I get to print 10 more.  That's a nice stockpile!!!

Becoming a Sweepstaker?

I was watching this show on TLC on people who enter sweepstakes for hours a day.  GO HERE to see a sneak peek of the show. It's a lot like couponing but with coupons you get free stuff all the time.  I can go to Walgreens right now and get free stuff.  With sweepstakes it is a shot in the dark but these people were winning big items often. I took some notes while watching the show and check it out online.  I think I'm going to give it a try for 3 to 6 months.  If you think you may be interested in trying it out too then read below for some helpful tips.  I will update you all if I actually win anything.

 -  make sure to enter your real phone number (which I usually never do) but they may call you to tell you    
    that you won.

How My Consignment Sale Went

Well I dropped my stuff off for the ConsignItMom.com sale on Friday with no problems.  I didn't have to wait in a long line either which was really nice.  There was only one item they wouldn't take.  I did not shop the sale or volunteer because my goal was to make money and not spend it.  But the armory was packed with nice, quality items. I took one table and 15 items of clothing and made just over $45 after they took their 30% cut and the $7 fee.  So I was pretty happy with this.  I will defiantly do their sale again next year.

How to make some extra money

I've been working to generate some extra cash the past few weeks and have listed items on EBay and I'm close to renting a booth at the Merchants Mall in Washington Mall to sell some of my crafts.  Another way I'm earning extra cash is doing yard sales (which I posted about before) and consignments sales. 

This weekend there will be consignment sale at the National Guard Armory on Lloyd Expressway. It's the Consign-It-Mom sale and you can check out their website HERE.  I have done the Twice As Nice Sale before but this year it is not until the last weekend of September. 

It is a lot of work to sort out your items, clean them, iron them, type in the information about them into your computer, generate tags and then pin or tape them to everything.  But you get to keep 70% of what you make and most other consignment stores or even Once Upon A Child do not give you near that.  This sale is very picky about what they take.  Your items must be in the best used condition and name brands and clothing sets sell best.  They also take furniture, maternity, toys and more.

I will update everyone on how I do.  I mostly have clothes so I don't expect to make a bunch.  I sold most of my stuff at my yard sale.  There is still time to sign up but you have to do it ASAP, tomorrow is the last day to drop your items off.

Free Cat Food

I've seen this deal on several other blogs so I'm going to pass it along but I have not checked the prices at our local stores. That's my disclaimer.  Anyways GO HERE to print a $2 off any Purina pet food coupon and use it at Walgreens to get free cat food. They have a small bag of cat food priced at $1.99 so it will be FREE after the coupon.  Now this coupon will beep because it is more than the price of the item but according to Walgreens store policy, the cashier can price down the coupon.  So you may want to make sure you take your store coupon policy with you just in case there is an issue. 

Also, if you don't have a cat you can donate these items to your local animal rescue shelter.

Cheap Soap at Walgreens

I saw a lady buying up Ivory and Irish Spring bars of soap at the Green River Walgreens and didn't get a chance to ask her what deal she was doing.  But this may be it, some areas have a wrap around ad which has Ivory bar soap BOGO $1.79. I don't see it in our ad but the sale may be in the computer system. I believe that Walgreens had them marked down but not on clearance.  I'm not 100% of this.  There are no Irish Spring coupons in the database so I'm not sure what coupons she had or if any. I don't like to post deals unless I have tried them first because so many don't work in this area but because I saw someone else buying them up I thought I'd go ahead and post this. Here's the possible deal:

My Walmart trip today

Just wanted to pass on that the west side Walmart has some clothing in each department marked down to $3 and up.  It's mostly all summer and 4th of July shirts.  They also have a lot of toy clearance and the rest of the toy racks are kinda bare.  I don't know if they have missed some shipments or what but half the shelves are bare.  This Walmart does not have the Dial lotion in the travel section (if you were lucky enough to print that $1 off any Dial lotion product coupon).  They also had only one bottle of Bengay at $4.23 which I took so hopefully they will get more in soon.  This will be free with overage if you printed the $5 off any Bengay product (no longer available).

Also, one more gripe about Walmart because it's my least favorite store and I always have at least one thing happen that disappoints me at every visit.  This time it was that I did not get one of my bags after I checked out.  Now I should have checked the whole spinning rack thing to make sure I got all my bags but the cashier did not like me.  I had 18 items in the 20 items or less line and I think she did her math wrong and thought I had more.  I just wanted to get away from her and I did not check it all.  But I walked directly in front of the register to let my little one play in that game room and she could have just yelled out to me that I forgot a bag.  I'm sure that was my payback for having so many items.  But I called the store to make sure the bag was there and the manager needed to know the register number to go get it and I heard her give the cashier a lecture on checking to make sure customers get all their bags.  So at least something was said to her about it.  But now I have to make another trip into Evansville to go pick up the bag.  And to top it off I had a black ink cartridge in there because I'm out of ink and I need to get more than one cartridge of ink to get filled at Paradise so I can get 2 filled at a time.  It's just easier that way.  There's all these great coupons out there that I can't print now and I BLAME WALMART!  Rant over now.  Must find chocolate!

How Important is Your Coupon Organizer to you?

I lost my coupon organizer for two days and that left me realizing how important my little binder is to me.  My little green organizer I always carry with me that has my store cards, RR, ECB's and my best coupons in it.  I looked all over my house and could not find it.  Ideas ran through my head that I left it in a shopping cart or it fell into a trash can and got bagged up.  I started calculating how much money in coupons I had in there (more than the cash in my wallet actually) and then...I got the stroller out of the back of the van to take the little one into the zoo with and there it was.  I had tossed it in the bottom of the stroller.  So I wonder now, am I the only one whose coupon world would stop spinning if they lost their main coupon binder? So if my house caught on fire would it be kids out first, then purse, then photos and then coupons (or husband LOL)? I also realized that I do have a lot of money in coupons in my binder and I should treat it like my wallet.  I wouldn't leave my wallet sitting out in a shopping cart that I stepped away from to grab something on a high shelf.  I certainly wouldn't leave it in the stroller in the car.  So the lesson learned is too have more respect for my binder and keep it safe.  Maybe I should get it insured.  Maybe I need one of those locator buttons on it like I have on my car keys.  Oh no...wait..I need a GPS locator on it.

Target Deals

Target.com has several new coupons, one of which is a $3 off Xhiliration apparel.  The coupon does state it excludes socks, intimates and sleepwear but according to other couponers it is coded to go through on any Xhiliration item.  The North Park Target has several clearanced pajamas priced around $2.48 which would be FREE and they have socks priced at $2.98.  Personally I plan to use my coupons on girls clothing items for future Christmas presents for my nieces. 

There is a ton of clearance clothes.  The Men's rack in the back of the store has several types of graphic tees priced around $6 that you can use the $2 off any graphic tee coupon on. 

Friday is Mega Swag Bucks Day

If you are not familiar with Swag Bucks then GO HERE.  It's a search engine where you can earn "swag bucks" every day you use their site to web search.  Once you get enough bucks you can shop for items to spend them on.  I usually trade mine in for Amazon gift cards.  It's fun and easy!

I tried this at the N. 1st Ave. Buy-Low and the manager would not accept the coupon because the product was a marinade and not labeled a seasoning. I would consider a marinade a seasoning, it does provide seasoning to the meat but the computer did beep with the coupon.  So BEWARE.  Although I know other people have used this coupon on the marinade and had no problem.

Expo Markers Coupon

Mount Vernon IGA double coupons

Thank you to Tracy Kraft who sent me an email about this so I can share it with all of you. If you live in or near Mount Vernon then you do have a small grocery store that double coupons.  McKim's IGA is doing the double coupon again every Wednesday in August. They accept mmanufacturer coupons only up to $1 and will NOT accept more than 1 of the same coupon.  Tract said she has used more than 1 of the same coupon just for the deal and they all doubled, so maybe that might work for you.  They DO NOT accept online coupons.  Their new ads come out every Wednesday which will make it a challenge to double coupons but you have only that one day to get it all together.  I have tried to shop there before but their everyday prices are pretty high so you have to hope their is a good coupon out there (NOT INTERNET) and that it can double and the product is on sale.  But it's worth a try!

Walmart Coupons???

Walmart has a feature on their website where you can print manufacturer coupons as well as samples.  GO HERE to check it out.  It's near the top on the left side.  The coupons print out as bricks coupons and you should get 2 prints per coupon.  This just makes another great source to get more Internet coupons. 

I posted a week or so ago about some Walmarts test marketing a double coupon policy and also a competitor coupon policy match.  Our local markets are not doing this but I'm crossing my fingers that it will come our way soon.  I am not a fan of Walmart but they do have a great coupon policy and they clearly state each point of it in a printed copy.  And when some places have made coupon policy more stringent, they have opened their up to be more coupon friendly.  I do appreciate that.  Walmart is the leader when it comes to grocery stores so I hope other stores will take notice.

My Target Trip

I went to the East side Target and they had a ton of clearance.  Only about 2 racks were 75% off but I found lots of clothes marked around 75% off that were hanging on 30 and 50% off racks.  So I ended up finding jeans IN MY SIZE for $5.98 and $6.24 and I used my $3 off any men's or women's denim to get them for under $3.  Great price for nice jeans.  That was worth the drive for me.  I also picked up my free Reach Floss with the $1 off coupon (no longer available).  I found Hunts sauce on clearance for $.86 a can and that is my favorite sauce so I went ahead and bought some of that.  I wish I had a coupon to go with it. 

I saw Glade candles, oil candles and the glass holders on clearance for around $2.  They were marked about 30% off.  I didn't buy any because it would still make the candles about $1.50 each which is above my price point.  But I do like to buy up on those things for teacher gifts and Christmas gifts. GO HERE to print out a variety of Glade coupons.

Double Coupons at Walmart???

Did the title shock you?  Well, it's true but only at select locations.  Walmart is test marketing doubling coupons up to $.99.  I so hope they determine it's worth it and it can become a nation wide program. To read more about this please GO HERE.
