My Schnucks shopping trip

I got my Schnucks flyer this afternoon and was so excited they had a lot of 10 for $10 items and I found a few good coupon match-ups.  A couple weeks back I had posted links to print $1 off any Reach floss.  Well it paid off because Schnucks had them on sale for $1 and I had 11 coupons.  I bought out Schnucks on the north side - just FYI.  Also they have Old Orchard juice for $1 and there is a $.50 off any Old Orchard juice here http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=zexseyb82992074&bt=vi&o=61534&c=OB&p=yF7sWaSp
and then I got Hamburger Helper for $.50 with this coupon
http://www.helpersmostpopulardriver.com
I bought some other items as well but these were my best deals.  My bill was $29 before coupons and it was $13 after coupons.  I had a total of 19 coupons so I was so happy to get a nice young male cashier who didn't care.

New website

I found this website which has all the stores online sales flyers.  All the stores you shop at may be on this one website instead of going to multiple sites.  And they have grocery stores and department stores.  Even Big Lots.

Time to print your coupons

It's the end of the month so tomorrow night the coupon websites will reset and some coupons will be gone and new coupons will be up.  Some coupons may reset so you can print more.  But make sure you print what you want now.  Here are some on the main online coupon printing websites.

My wild Coupon night

Last night I was up late and wanted to check about printing some coupons before I went to bed.  I went to www.redplum.com and found they had several huggies coupons up for a high value.  So I have learned along the way to print high value coupon ASAP because they sometimes disappear quick.  So I did and also I found high value Scott paper towel and toilet paper and VIVA paper towels.  It was weird that so many showed up.  I printed all I could from my 2 computers and then posted on http://www.hip2save.com/ (my favorite blog) what I had found and that I also found the coupons at www.couponnetwork.com.  So I went to bed and in the morning the coupons were gone.  I've seen good coupons go fast - but not that fast.  I didn't even get a chance to post them on my own blog.  So the lesson learned here for me and whoever is reading is to print the good ones quick and call your friends and family to print them for you to if it's for something you need and they don't.  There is a printing limit that is set on some coupons and it could be 100 or 100,000.  So you never know.  Now I have to hope a good sale comes up before they expire.

There will be 4 coupon inserts in this Sunday's paper so that's real good news for us couponers!!  Go to http://www.sundaycouponpreview.com/ to see all the coupons.  Also includes the P & G insert so it would pay off to get several papers.

Huggies coupons

Go here  http://coupons.redplum.com/offers/default.aspx?Id=LogicalMediaCD4643b&DefaultZipCode
and enter 77477 as your zip code.    Red Plum has several really good Huggies coupons up.  I also printed the Kotex coupon which with a sale will be free pantyliners!

Coupon printing website

I discovered a new website for printing online coupons.  Here's the link and there is a great Huggies wipes coupon on page 5.

Target was a bust

I went to the east side Target today. I usually only shop at the North Park location because it's closer to me and I like them better.  I have a favorite cashier there who never gives me trouble about my coupons and they have better clearance there.  Th east side store is being completely moved around to make room for the grocery section.  Most of the deals I went there to get I didn't get because this Target had higher prices than what was reported on all the blogs and I was looking to get free or dirt cheap products.  So I passed.  I did manage to get 2 cases of Kids Essential drinks which are normally $5.99 each but with my coupons I got them for $.50 each.  They had clearance clothes at 30% but North side had them at 75%.  Another good thing I spotted was Rimmel cosmetics.  There is a Target coupon for $2 off and also a manufacturers coupon for $2 which makes $4 off and they did have items priced from $3.49 and up.  I'm going to hold on to mine and wait for a sale and buy the higher priced makeup like foundation.

Old Navy Clearance

Old Navy is reporting on their facebook page that they will have up to 90% clearance this weekend.  Just FYI!

Target Store deals this week

Go here to see all the couponing deals at Target this week.

http://hip2save.com/2011/01/target-deals-123-129.html

Day Old Bread Store

The day old bread store at the corner of Diamond and Fulton went out of business.  I just noticed this today and I swear I saw them open on Saturday. That store has been there for as long as I can remember.

My shopping trip today

First I went to Menards and I got 2 nice pocket knives with the holder for $.99 (regularly $9.99) and there was a $7 rebate on it.  I took the last 2 - by the way.  I also got 2 torpedo levelers for free (with a $2.50 rebate).  I still have over $8 left on my rebate card with my rebate coming my way which insures I don't have to pay out of pocket - not even for the tax.

I also went to CVS and got a 500ml of Crest Pro Health mouth rinse for free plus made $2.50.  It was on sale for $3.99 with a $3.99 register reward and I had a $2.50 coupon that I got at the dentist office.

At Walgreens I got 2 bags of Hanes socks which were BIG1 free.  That made them $3.50 each.   I can't figure out why I'm writing in italics now but anyways, I also got a large bottle of Crest Pro-Health mouthwash for $.99.  My favorite was getting 2 boxes of White Castle Cheeseburger's for $2.50.  My husband loves these and the are $4.75 at Dollar General.  They are on sale for 2/$6 and there are $.50 coupons out there.

Tomorrow I will do Target - I hope.

P & G insert

The Proctor and Gamble insert will be this Sunday and has over $90 in coupons.  This is always my favorite coupon insert because no matter where you live in the country you get the same coupons as everyone else.  And they are all good coupons for a wide range of products.  So it's always worth getting the paper for this insert.

This sucks

I was so hoping to do my coupon shopping today but I have a sick toddler.  And I just know the stuff I was wanting to get is flying off the shelves right now and will all be gone before I get there.  More important to be home right now.  Maybe tomorrow.  When I do get to go I will report what deals I got and where.

Wild for Wags

http://www.wildforwags.com/ is a great blog that focuses on deals at Walgreens.  Every week she posts how to shop there with as little money out of pocket as possible but leave the store with bags of free stuff.  So this week is a really good week and a good scenerio she created.  In this Scenario, you’d get $81.59 in merchandise, spend $1.54 out of pocket and end up with $10 in Register Rewards. You’ll get paid $8.46 to shop! Sweet!

Go here to see how to do this deal.  http://wildforwags.com/category/rolling-scenarios/

Free makeup at Target

I found this other deal to get free Rimmel mascara where you don't need a All You coupon

Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara $2.24 – $2.99

Use the $2/1 Target store coupon found http://www.target.com/
Plus, stack with the $2/1 Facebook coupon found here http://www.facebook.com/RimmelLondonUS?v=app_10442206389
Final cost FREE mascara!

If you don't use this brand then it might be something you can put in a gift basket for someone.  I also keep a box of items for women roducts that I get with my couponing that I donate to a woman's shelter.
Also...I have not shopped at Target yet so I haven't checked to make sure our Target has this product at that price and there is also an overage so the register may beep.  You just need to ask the cashier to adjust the coupon down.

New Target coupons

Target released some new coupons on their website today http://www.target.com/

Below is one deal that I see that will get you free makeup
$2/1 Rimmel Cosmetics Item ETS Target Web Coupon x2/26
- $1/1 Rimmel, any item
- $2/1 Rimmel Product Facebook Coupon HERE
- B1G1 Rimmel Moisture Renew Lip gloss Dec 2010 or Feb 2011 All You
- $3/1 Rimmel Lash Accelerator All You Oct 2010
FREE Rimmel cosmetics after both

If your not familiar with All You - it is a magazine that includes a lot of high value coupons.  I would suggest looking into getting a subscription.  They always have great articles on couponing and saving money as well.

$.25 clearance at Dollar General

The Dollar General stores are suppose to have their Christmas clearance marked to $.25 starting today.  My local store still has quite a bit left so hopefully you can score some good deals.

Great price on Scott paper towels

Starting tomorrow CVS will have the following deal
Scott Choose-a-Size Mega Roll – 6 pk $4.77 Limit 3

I found this online coupon for $2 off a 4 pack or more of Scott paper towels
http://www.scottbrand.com/community/savings/scott/
This would make them = $2.77 which is $.46 a roll.  That's a great price for Scott paper towels.  Scott is my personal favorite for paper towels and toilet paper so i will be stockpiling at this price.

CVS deals this week

Here are the best deals at CVS this week from http://www.hip2save.com/

Target is getting produce!

The east side target has a sign up stating that they are under construction and are putting in a Starbucks and adding fresh produce.  So it seems they are expanding on their grocery department which is good news for us because http://www.target.com/ has produce coupons that we never get to use because we don't have a super Target.  So I'll be waiting to see just how much they are going to expand that department. The sign states that it will open in March.

Clearance

JC Penneys has great clearance prices now on winter clothes in all departments.  There is much more for girls than boys though.  Some clothes are marked as low as $2.97.  The good stuff won't last long so you might want to hit that store up this weekend.

There not bad.  Finally some huggies coupons and there will be a huggies deal at Walgreens this week also.  I will post that soon.  There are 2 inserts so it is defiantly worth getting a paper.  Remember the formula is one paper per member of your family.  Although I try to get the coupon inserts from family and friends so I don't have to spend money on buying a paper

Kroger coming to Boonville?????

I just heard a rumor.  First .... it's true that Buy-Low in Boonville is going out of business.  I assume it was because Walmart came in and took a chunk of their business.  But the rumor is that Kroger is going to take over the space.  This would be AWESOME and I so hope it's true.  The reason for this is because you can more than double you savings there because they offer store coupons on top of doubling internet or manufacturer coupons.  Plus they have good sales like B1GI and 10 for $10.  I'll keep you posted and hopefully my Boonville source will let me know what she hears next.

I use to hate my mailbox

It's true.  Before I started couponing I hated my mailbox and it gave my anxiety.  Because it was usually bad news of bills due that I can't afford to pay or insurance claims being denied.  Then I started submitting for free samples, freebies, rebates and snail mail coupons. Now I actually get free stuff and money in the mailbox and it helps balance out the bad.  It makes my day when I get my target coupon booklet or my free sample of playtex pantliners.  It doesnt take much to make me happy.

My Walmart trip

I was able to buy 8 packages of Ortega taco seasoning for $.08 a package using the $1 off 2 Ortega products found here http://www.ortega.com/promotions/index.php?=&_PAGING_CUR_PAGE=5

and/or

http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=VQ3NQBGKU2A6E

I also bought 4 packages of Kraft shredded cheese with Philly for $1.50 a package using this coupon
http://instoresnow.walmart.com/enhancedrendercontent_ektid94172.aspx

I tried using the self scan checkout since I did not have much in my cart but the scanner would not scan any of the coupons and the cashier had to scan them all.  This may be because they were internet generated coupons.  Just FYI!

My Schnucks shopping trip

In this weeks flyer there is a deal from General Mills where if you buy $20 worth of participating products - you will get a $5 coupon printed at the register for a future shopping trip. I was able to get 16 boxes of taco shells (hard and soft), 8 packages of taco seasoning and 5 packages of hamburger meat for $15 using this deal.  First there are tearpads for $3 off hamburger meat with the purchase of 3 old el paso shells.  So I bought 16 Old El Paso shells to get to $20.  I was able to use 5 of the hamburger coupons to go with 15 of the taco shells packages.  And then I used 8 free taco seasoning coupons that were peelies on the taco boxes for buying 2 old el paso products.   I'm sure this all sounds confusing but it works.  I went to the register and everything rang up right and I got my $5 coupon. The Schnucks on S. green river has the best tearpad coupons and the most so I would suggest going there.  So heres the shortcut:
Buy 16 boxes/packages of Old El Paso hard or soft tacos (on sale for 4/$5)
Buy 8 packages of Old El Paso taco seasoning
Buy 5 packages of hamburger meat priced just over $3
Use 5 tearpad coupons for $3 off hamburger meat with the purchase of 3 Old El Paso products
Use 8 pink peelie coupons found on the taco shells boxes for the free seasoning
Use the $.60 off 2 Old El Paso taco shell coupons that were on http://www.coupons.com/ (I don't believe they are up anymore but I had 4)

You will get all your hamburger meat and taco seasoning free and the taco shells pretty cheap.

My coupon shopping to today

I headed to Target to get 6 things on my list that I had coupons for to get free or very cheap and half of them they didn't carry or were out or they were not on sale like had been reported on the blogs I follow.  This happens a lot at Target because different Targets will have different sales and different pricing.  For example, I buy Silk Almond milk and the east side Target has it for $3.09 normally and the North side has it for $3.00 normally.  And both these stores are in the same city.  So always be aware that when you find great deals reported online that it may not turn out that way once you get to the store.  I did get 2 bottles of Soy Sauce for $1.39 total, bread for $.80 and silk milk for $2.29. And I can report that the north side Target had clothing marked to 75% in all departments.  Mostly winter clothes but I did see some summer shorts/skirts.  Another thing I like about this Target is that I regularly take my plastic bags and bottles to recycle there which is right in front of the customer service desk.

I also went to CVS which really didn't have any great deals.  It was reported that you could use the online Listerine Zero coupon for $2 off the sale bottle which would have made it $.79 after ECB and coupons but the coupon states it's for the larger bottle so I didn't purchase that item.  Personally,  I follow the verbage on the coupon so I wasn't going to try it anyways.  I did end up getting 2 medium bags of peanut M&M's for $2.38.  My husband will be happy about that.

Razors

On the Walgreens deals you can get a Gillette Pro Fusion for $.99.  When I went I found a Gillette Pro Fusion set with a small body wash, after shave and cooling lotion that was also on sale.  The register accepted my coupon on it and I got a RR reward for it making it $.99.  These would make great gifts for men.  I bought the Walgreens out on Covert and Weinbach but there was at least one left at the St. Joe store.  Those are the only 2 I went to.

Wild for Wags

I'm not sure if I have shared this website before http://www.wildforwags.com/ but they are the best site for deals fo Walgreens.  She mostly only covers Wags.  But the best part is she creates scenerios every week of how to buy items there with little to no out of pocket money but leave with RR.    For this weeks scenerio
"Here is my Transaction Scenario for 1/16. In this Scenario, you’d get $47.26 in merchandise, spend $4.76 out of pocket and end up with $10.50 in Register Rewards. That means you’ll get paid $5.74 for buying $7 in merchandise!"

So go to her website to learn more.  She always breaks it into multipple transactions.  This is so you can use RR from a previous transaction and roll them over which is what allows you to pay little out of pocket.

Sundays coupons

Check here to see wat will be in this sundays paper  http://www.sundaycouponpreview.com/

My Walgreens trip

I was able to use the 2 Nature Made coupons from http://www.coupons.com/ to get 2 bottles of melatonin for free plus a $2 moneymaker.  I was also able to get 2 packages of diapers and 2 wipes for $13.  But they would not take their own store coupon that was a peelie on the wipes box and it was not expired either.  The computer was beeping that the offer was no longer valid.  So I wasn't happy about that.  If I didn't have a fussy toddler I would have talked to the manager about it.  I still saved over $40 on my purchases.

Donating food

On all the blogs everyone is talking about how none of the people on the extreme couponing show seemed to be donating their stock.  But I found a video on youtube of The Krazy Coupon lady who did donate some of what she had bought the day of filming (I believe).  So check out the video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=872klP3pqc8

I still don't know why she has her own grocery store in her garage for her family.  How does she keep rodents out of it???  But at least she is donating some of it.

Got Christmas money to spend?

Tomorrow Old Navy will begin their 80% off clearance.  Go to their facebook page here to learn more about it.  http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=180836381950836

If you need any clothes - now might be a good time to stock up.  Also think about buying for future Christmas and birthday gifts.

I watched the Coupon Diva on Ellen and we didn't get to really see any of her tips but go to http://ellen.warnerbros.com/2011/01/the_coupon_diva_shares_her_tips_0112.php to see some about her segment and her tips.  Scroll down to the bottom to see the comments and there's much more good info down there.  Also go to http://www.misscoupondiva.com/ to see her website.

Free Lunch

I went to Wendys today and got my lunch for free because their computers froze and they couldn't ring me up.  I wish I had ordered more food.  But it did give me the idea of when I'm out shopping and there is some problem with your order suc as it didn't come in time, was't right, poor quality or a clothing item with a blemish of some kind - ask for a manager to get a lower price.  Most of the time they say yes.

Diaper Deal!

Walgreens has a great deal on diapers this week, and Christie over at Wild for Wags found $2 peelies on baby wipes to make it even a better deal!

Buy 4 Walgreens Diapers, Sleep or Training Pants — $6 ea
Buy 5 Walgreens Baby Wipes — $2 ea
Use $4 $2/1 Walgreens diapers or Training Pants peelie coupons
Pay $26 and get back a $5 RR
Total: $21 for 4 packages of diapers and 5 packages of wipes!

I can tell you that I also saw peelies on wipes containers at the Walgreens on St. Joe and I would believe that most of our local Walgreens would have them also.

Comments

I'm somewhat new to blogging.  I'm going to work on training myself to add photos and links to this blog.  I wanted to encourage everyone to post comments to help us all find better deals, more coupons and great places to shop.  Thanks so much!

Boost

I spent half the day on Saturday buying vanilla Boost for my oldest son.  With the store deal, the RR and the manu. coupon I paid $26 for $140 worth of products.  And I'm stocked up now for months.  I did order coupons online to stockpile this item.  Today I will be buying Target out of Silk Almond milk with more coupons I ordered online.  They are $3.00 normally and on sale this week for $2.79.  I have $.50 coupons so I will get them for $2.29.

Friday, January 7, 2011

PRINT THESE NOW

There are some good freebies next week but print the coupons now before they are gone.  Trust me...just print them.

http://www.smartsource.com/
print the reach toothbrush coupons

http://www.coupons.com/
print the $2 listerine zero coupon

Schnucks

My sub-total at Schnucks was $22.95 and after coupons it was $12.15.  The Schnucks on S. Green River has a lot of tearpad coupons out and I was able to use them to get great deals. I got 2 packages of hamburger meat, a package of tuna and 3 packages of old el paso taco seasonings for free.  Here's the deal.  There is a tearpad for $3 off hamburger meat with 3 old el paso purchases which include taco shells.  They are on sale for 4 for $5 right now.  So I bought 3 boxes and used 3 internet coupons for $.60 off 2 old el paso products.  go to http://www.coupons.com/ to get the internet coupon.  Then the boxes themselves had peelies on them for free taco seasoning with any other old el paso purchase.  So go stock up.

Coupon clippers

I ordered Boost coupons from http://www.thecouponclippers.com/ on Sunday afternoon and I still have not received them.  The sale ends on Saturday so this is getting close.  So I'm a little disappointed in how long the shipping is taking.  They usually mail your coupons on the same next or next day after your order.

Flyers

Starting today I will be putting up flyers for my blog in about every store I go to.  This is part of my new years resolution to bring my traffic and followers to the blog so we can create a community of couponers who share ideas.  So look out for them and spread the word to anyone who could benefit from couponing.

Schnucks

Today I went to Schnucks just to gather coupons since I had to go to Target today to buy my sons almond milk.  I wanted to make best use of the gas.  The north park Schnucks has a lot of smartsource coupons dispensers out so it's a good time to go just to get coupons for free.  I was hoping to find some to take to Buy Low since it's double coupon week but no such luck.  I was also able to get a package of hamburger meat for free and a package of taco seasoning from coupons I had gathered from Schnucks 2 months ago.  So not a wasted trip.

90% off Christmas at Target

The North Park Target has all the x-mas decor, cards and such for 90% off.  It's in the back left corner of the store.  I got a nice x-mas frame for $1.29 and a 40 box of gorgeous cards for $1.50.  Go quick.  Also, they have all their holiday Glad candles half price and there were coupons for them on http://www.coupons.com/ if you printed them.  I got 2 oil candle glass holders that were $3. and paid $.50 for them.  I'll hold on to them for x-mas gifts next year.  So hurry.  I assume east side has theirs marked to 90% too but I'm not sure.

My sub-total was $47.94.  after coupons it was $9.35 and I got 2 packages of Huggies diapers, 2 Biore steam activted face cleansers, a ream of paper and one breath rite strips. The Morgan Ave. Walgreens was sold out of Vicks Sinex so I wasnt able to get those for free.  The Biore is on clearance for $4.19 and there is a $2.00 coupon on http://www.coupons.com/ wich makes them $2.19 and if you buy 2 then you get a $5 RR.  Which makes them boh free and a $.60 moneymaker.  The Morgan Ave. store had 2 left.

$.50 Totinos at Buy Low

Kroger

One of my new years coupon resolutions is to learn more about Kroger and try couponing there.  So one of the great things about this store is they double coupons up to $1 and they do this everyday.  So a $1 coupon will be $2 when scanned.  They also have a store card which has Kroger store coupons on it which can be stacked with manufacturer coupons.  So go to http://www.kroger.com/ and sign up online to get the card.  I believe you can also do this in the store.

I'm so mad!

I just spent $4 at the Dollar Tree to buy trash.  Ohhhh.  All the newspapers I bought had no coupons in them.  So the lesson learned is that next time - I will check each paper to make sure they include the coupon inserts before I buy them.  So sucks.  But I just went to coupon clippers and bought the ones I needed.  That cost $3.94.

Free Body Wash at Dollar general

I just got back from my local dollar general store and got 4 bottles of Olay body wash for free.  The smaller bottles are on sale for $2 and there is a coupon for $2 off any Olay body soap in the 12/26 PG.

You can download a FREE Goals & Priorities Planner on Facebook right now. Head HERE http://www.facebook.com/GetOrganizedWizard?v=app_10442206389  and Like Michele Connolly – Get Organized Wizard. Then, follow the instructions to download. It will prompt you to pay via credit card or Paypal; but your balance will be $0, I promise! They’ve had a lot of responses and thus slower download speeds; but it sounds like they’ve worked through it now.
I’ll be back later with more organizing tools!
Happy New Year!

Coupon Resolutions

This year I think I will make new years resolutions for my couponing.

1.  To step it up a notch and push to find more deals

2.  To try out new stores, including Rite Aid in Henderson and Kroger in Owensboro.  And my bucket list is to do Publix in Nashville.

3.  Create a stockpile area in my basement to organize all the buys and also sort my donation boxes

4.  I want to see about teaching coupoining classes

5. And lastly, to increase the followers of my blog to 100 by next year.

SO WHAT ARE YOUR COUPONING RESOLUTIONS!!!!!!!

Dumpster Diving

Today I went to the Wesselmans Nature Preserve and dug out coupon inserts from the newspaper recycling boxes.  I felt a little like a weirdo but I left with 12 inserts.  I only checked what was on top because it was cold but it was worth it.  My haul will give me enough to get 4 more boxes of vicks sinex for free from walgreen this week and I will see what more deals I can pull out of it.  Defiantly worth it.

Coupons reset

Most of the coupon printing websites are resetting their coupons as I type.  So you should be able to print some new ones and more of the others that reset.
