ReSale Reviews

It's another ReSale Review!  I'm going to go in a different direction this time and give you tips on using your smartphone to find used items at great prices.  First, try the Craigslist FREE app to find local listings of items for sale including FREE stuff.  You can do your own listings from your phone as well as find a wide range of other items from baby clothes to landscaping materials. I just started using this app to look for local yard sales.  Just select the garage sale tab and you will already see several listings. 

Another great app is Ebay and Amazon.  Both are FREE and let you shop and sale from your home.  I use these apps often to price match too.

My new favorite app is Garage Sale Rover and it's FREE too.  Once you download it you need to set it to your current location.  Then when you bring up the app is will find all the yard sale within 25 miles or so of you and map them out.  You can even click on them to get details, addresses and times.  It works as a map also to help you get directions to sale. 

Spring Break

It's Spring Break and that means it will be next to impossible to do any couponing this week with a house full of kids.  But on the bright side, my 2 nieces will be staying with me for a few days and they LOVE to clip coupons so their going to help me get organized.  I'm so thankful they love to do it because its my least favorite thing to do to.  Hope all of you get some couponing in this week!

Yep, I even use coupons for car repairs. I go to Expert Tire often because it's fast. They offer coupons on their website and thankfully they had one for brake repair. Last time they had one for $50 off any repair over $500 which I was able to use too.

Possible Free Pantiliners at Buehlers

Www.coupons.com has a $.50 off ANY Carefree product coupon up. The 22 pack usually sells for around $.99 at most stores. With Buehlers doubling coupons this week you may be able to get them FREE. Print quick!

Target Coupon Booklet

I got my Target coupon booklet today which is full of Target Store coupons. I haven't received this in almost 6 months ago and so I was surprised to see it in my mailbox. If you don't receive this booklet then the bad news is that there is no way to sign up for it. You either are one of the lucky ones or not. Did you guys see the gas prices?

If you didn't coupon before, it's about time to start with gas prices reaching $4 a gallon. Food items and more are going to go up across the board to cover the cost of their increased gas costs. Unfortunately we can't use a coupon on gas but you can shop at stores like Kroger or Buehlers that offer gas discounts through their store card. You can also use coupons matched with store sales to reduce your monthly food bill and use that savings to cover the increased gas bill for your vehicles. Although I would rather use that savings for something fun like Holiday World.

My Buehlers Trip

I always look so forward to double coupon week and then I always find that getting deals is like pulling teeth. I had to race through the store so I'm sure I didn't catch every deal. Pictured is a peelie coupon for $1/2 nabisco crackers and they were on sale for $4/2 which made then $1.50 each. The Starkist tuna was on sale for $1.50 and with the $.50 coupon from their Facebook page would make it $.50. I had a $.50 Dawn dish detergent coupon from a P&G home mailer which equaled Free when doubled. Some scents of Dial hand soap were on sale for $1.49 and if you use the $.35 RP coupon from 2 weeks ago it would make them $.79. But these are usually on sale for $1 at other stores.

I'm loving the new Target coupons.  There are 3 different clothing coupons for $3 off women's clothing item, plus size item and Liz Lange Maternity.  Check the clearance racks and stack this coupon with the clearance price to possibly get FREE or super cheap clothes.  There is also a $5/2 Revlon items which will get you beauty tools for FREE.  I usually get nail clippers and emery boards.  Print yours HERE!

The last week of March will be double coupon week at Buehlers. I was thinking it would be this week but it's not. I sure hope it doesn't end up being a IGA brand sale week again. It's hard to do coupon match ups that way.

New Couponing Website!

I stumbled across a new couponing website that is like Pintrest but with coupons.  It's called ReclipIt and you can check it out HERE.  I just set up an account for myself and it was easy and FREE.  I works like Pintrest but instead of boards you have folders.  Usually I check 4 or 5 coupon blogs a day, plus Facebook and my emails to find deals.  The great thing about ReclipIt, there's a huge listing of a wide range of deals all on one page.

My CVS trip this week

I had an awesome CVS haul yesterday and didn't use one coupon. I got 5 robes (future Christmas gifts) and 2 MP3 players for $14.95. The retail value was $224.93!!!

ReSale Reviews

Time for another ReSale Review of my favorite places to shop for used items and great places.  I love a deal and there is a place with over 600 small stores all under one roof selling over 100,000+ different items.  Can you guess what it is?



The Merchants Outlet Mall is located in Washington Square Mall and is 2 floors of deals and steals.  There is new and used furniture, clothing, housewares, antiques, collectibles, toys and so much more.  I could easily spend hours there and still not see everything.  The Mall is made up of 600 different vendors who all have their own individual booth space.  My sister-in-law and I have a booth there as well on the second floor by the escalator called "The Gettin Place" where we sell mostly children's clothing and accessories.  We also have a basket of coupons FREE for anyone to take. A friend of mine has a booth on the first floor called "Vintage Chic" which has a lot of vintage furniture and home decor that she has refurnished.

Consignment sale this weekend

I'm sitting at the armory now dropping off my items to sale. The Twice As Nice Consignment sale will be this Friday and Saturday at the Evansville Armory off Lloyd expressway. You can find lots of gently used clothes, shoes, toys and more here and they do a discount hour on Saturday afternoon. Come check it out!

Help for Henryville

The town of Henryville, that was devasted by the tornado last Friday, is in need of donations so families can start rebuilding.  Most of the things that they need are what we get FREE all the time from couponing.  Please read the article HERE from 14WFIE's website that lists the items needed and where the drop off locations are.  I will be gathering up items to drop off on Friday and I hope you guys will join me.  This is what I love about couponing most, using my couponing skills to help those in great need.

High Risk Of Storms Tomorrow

So why in the world am I talking about storms on a couponing blog?  Because couponers have the skills to be prepared for disasters.  We know to buy ahead, to buy in bulk to stockpile and most of us store our stockpile in a closet or basement.  With the storms coming our way tomorrow think about taking some time today to go through your stockpile and create an emergency bag.  I have a little bookcase in a corner of our basment that has gallon water jugs, a first aid kit, flashlights and food which were all purchased from couponing.  Another important point I want to make is to think about where you keep your stockpile.  If you have the option to store it in a storm safe place, please do so.  I know some people don't have a basement or a closet in the center of their home but you may be able to fill a duffle bag of supplies and keep in the trunk of your car.  Some couponers even divide up their stockpile so it is not stored all in one area of their home in case of fire or floods.  Stay safe everyone.
