Each month I will post what my savings were for the previous month. I do this so I know for myself how much money I saved and how much money I have to go towards my children's therapy and supplements. My hopes is that all of you will see what couponing can do for you. Being a stay at home with children with special needs leaves me not being able to work outside the home due to the fact that we can't get childcare. Living on one income is very difficult for any family, especially when your children have special needs. There are speech, OT co-pays, supplements, doctor visits, specialists, education materials, therapy tools and much more. Couponing is my way to afford these items. With our budget we can't add more income to cover the costs so I spend less with coupons to use the savings towards my children's needs. And you can do this too.
Below is my breakdown:
Walmart = $82.16
Walgreens = $89.96
CVS = $6.37
Schnucks = $54.90
Buy-Low = $50.53
Target = $116.02
Dollar General = $3.50
Home Depot and Staples = 83.82 (rebates and Home Depot's black Friday sale)
Grand Monthly Savings = $487.26
With this savings I will be able to afford the $200 in therapy co-pays, $20 in iPad/iPhone apps, and the rest going towards my costs to attend the Autism One conference in Chicago at the end of May.
